The QS World University Rankings 2026 rank the School of Information, Journalism and Communication number one in the world for Library and Information Management for the sixth year running.
The QS World University Rankings 2026 were recently released, with the Library & Information Management rankings giving the University of Sheffield an overall score of 95.7.
Professor Briony Birdi, Head of the School of Information, Journalism and Communication said: “I am delighted that the School of Information, Journalism and Communication has been ranked number one in the world for Library and Information Management, for the sixth consecutive year.
“This is a very well-deserved reflection of the hard work of all staff and students, and is a clear testament to the outstanding teaching and research undertaken in the school. Colleagues work together so well to deliver inspirational teaching and world-leading research, as a result of which our students are fully prepared for a wide range of rewarding and fulfilling careers.
