The Big Week
The Big Week is the University of Sheffield’s first ever global fundraising week. Join us and help raise £50,000 for Parkinson’s disease research. Throughout 3-7 May we are taking our fundraising global, and we want you to get involved.
Take part in our challenge
Join our moving challenge and help us cover a distance of 50,000 km
Help us cover a combined distance of 50,000km through walking, running, cycling, swimming - whatever you like!
Aim to raise at least £50 for Parkinson’s research and help us back the next breakthrough.
Catch-up
Take time to catch-up
In a time when opportunities to socialise with friends and colleagues have been limited, we’re encouraging you to take an hour out of your day to catch-up with each other.
Fundraise-athon
Tune in on Wednesday 5 May
Between 11am - 10pm, we’ll be live-streaming our fundraise-athon. We’ll be talking to our amazing Parkinson’s research team in SITraN, and chatting to some of our esteemed alumni about their time in Sheffield and their careers since graduating. We’ll also be catching up with staff and students who have been fundraising during the Big Week.
Why Parkinson's?
Why is Parkinson's disease research so important?
Parkinson’s disease is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world but treatments for the disease haven’t progressed for over 50 years. Our world-class researchers are progressing treatments to combat the disease.
