Arriving on campus

You will have booked to visit us either from 10am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 4.30pm on your offer holder day.

Please arrive in good time for the start of your booked session, as we'll need to scan the QR code from your booking confirmation to register you.

Your offer holder open day will begin downstairs in the Arts Tower, Lecture Theatre 9, before moving to the Geography and Planning Building for interactive sessions. There will be lots of open day staff and ambassadors around campus to assist you.

If you arrive late for your booked session, please report to the general information stand on the Students’ Union concourse, where event staff will be able to help.

When booking, you'll be able to reserve a place for yourself and one guest at the school activities. To ensure safe venue capacities, the school is unable to accommodate any additional unbooked visitors.

However, you're welcome to bring additional guests to accompany you on the day, and we would encourage these guests to take part in our range of central exhibitions and tours while the school activities are running.

Doing Geography at Sheffield

(90 minutes)

Experience first-hand what it’s like to be a Geography student at the University of Sheffield. You will see how our world-leading research translates into our teaching, through two workshops delivered by our expert teaching team. Then, you will have some hands-on interactive workshops, which focus on some of the skills you will learn as a Geographer!

Supporters Drop-in - Due to some capacity restrictions, and to give offer holders a chance to be with future coursemates on their own, supporters can come to the Common Room and grab more refreshments, chat to other supporters, academics and student ambassadors.

For queries relating to admissions, support or accommodation our experts will be on hand to answer these in the Octagon Centre so please allow time to visit them.

For the rest of the day, you'll have time to take part in the central tours and exhibitions detailed in our offer holder day guide.
