As part of your offer holder day at Sheffield, you'll be spending some quality time getting to know the school and your chosen course.
Planing your day
Our offer holder days are a full day experience with a range of activities - from accommodation tours to our information fairs - to help you get a feel for both your subject and the university.

Times and locations
You will have booked to visit us 10am to 1.00pm or 1.30pm to 4.30pm on your offer holder day. Your session time can be found in your booking confirmation email and your starting location is below.

Arrival information
You'll need to arrive around 30 minutes before your session starts, so we can scan the QR code in your booking confirmation email to register you.
You'll be able to book a place for yourself and one guest on the subject session. To ensure safe venue capacities, we’ll be unable to accommodate any additional visitors.
If you’re running late for your subject activities, head to one of our Information Hub tents spread around campus where event staff will be able to assist you.
General Engineering timetable
Here's what to expect from your subject session. Timings are approximate and are subject to change, so we recommend checking back prior to the event.

| 30 minutes | Mini Lecture | One of our academics will deliver a mini-lecture on General Engineering, giving you a real taste of what our lectures are like. (Diamond, Lecture Theatre 9) |
| 30 minutes | Tour of the Diamond | You'll take a guided tour of The Diamond to see the labs and facilities you'll be studying in. (Diamond) |
| 30 minutes | Networking & Tea and Coffee | This is a great opportunity to ask questions and chat with our academics and student ambassadors. (Heartspace, Mappin Building) |
Activity for supporters
During student lab activities, accompanying parents and guests will be offered a guided tour of our state-of-the-art labs and facilities, which will last approximately 30 minutes.
Science and Engineering Foundation Year
If you are holding an offer for one of our courses with a Foundation Year, there will be an optional talk where you can find out more and ask any questions. The morning session will take place in Lecture Theatre 8 in The Diamond from 11.30am to 12.30pm. The afternoon session will be held in Lecture Theatre 8 in The Diamond from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
