I gained a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Psychological Research Methods from the University of Leicester followed by a P.h.D in cognitive neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Nottingham. My work has included topics in visual neuroscience (depth perception), cognitive neuroscience (visual attention), human factors engineering (vehicle display design), driving psychology (perceptual load) and suitability in food systems.
Currently my work at the University of Sheffield involves statistical analysis for the Mobilise-D project developing mobility tracking devices. In particular, my role involves applying mixed effects models to understand how contextual factors (such as the weather) cause variation in real-world walking speeds across different disease groups (Parkinson’s, MS, COPD). My role also covers testing construct validity for the mobilise-d project.
