Dr Mahshid Delavar

Dr Mahshid Delavar is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Cybersecurity at the University of Sheffield. Her research focuses on developing cryptographic solutions that ensure long-term security and efficiency in communication and computation. She has led several projects on designing practical cryptographic primitives and protocols to protect communications across diverse networks, including telecommunication systems, the Internet of Vehicles, and Smart Grids. She also investigates the impact of quantum technologies on secure computation and communication - both as a potential threat and as an opportunity to enhance security. Additionally, she explores near-term applications of quantum technologies.
