After graduating as the top student from the Faculty of Architecture at Selçuk University (Türkiye), I pursued in MSc Architectural Design program at Yıldız Technical University (Türkiye). During my master's studies, I also worked as a research assistant at KTO Karatay University (Türkiye), where I assisted with several lectures. Then, I completed MA Architecture and Urbanism program at the Manchester School of Architecture in 2022. My thesis explored the relationship between smart mobility and urban space. I joined the SSoA Lighting research group as a PhD student in 2024.

The Impact of Lighting on Pedestrian Route Choice and Perceptions
Project outline:
My research focuses how street lighting influences pedestrian route choices in after-dark urban context. Lighting plays a crucial role in guiding pedestrian movement and enhancing perceived safety. This study examines the impact of lighting on pedestrian behavior and route choices, highlighting it as a key element affecting the walkability and safety of urban spaces at night.
