Profile

I joined the Sheffield School of Architecture in 2019, as a studio tutor in the undergraduate programme.

I qualified as an Architect in 2007. After completing an Art and Design Foundation I went on to study Architecture at Kingston University (RIBA part 1), and at the University of Sheffield (RIBA part 2 and 3). During that time I was awarded the Stephen Welsh prize for draftsmanship and put forward for an RIBA dissertation medal.

As an Architect I have worked for several interdisciplinary practices in London, Manchester and Sheffield.  Working on a range of large to small scale projects in the public sector, including education, healthcare and affordable housing.  I am passionate about the built environment and am an active trustee for the Sheffield Civic Trust.

I have been teaching Architecture since 2009, with over ten years experience at Sheffield Hallam University as an associate lecturer and academic advisor. I have also had the privilege of teaching architecture at Hunan University of Science and Technology in China.
