Dr Alex Stamatiadis

Founder Dreeemwave Bassliner, Study UK Alumni Award winner

This year’s Sheffield winners represent an exceptional breadth of talent, innovation and influence across the world.

My journey has shown me that innovation and resilience are key drivers of success. I want students to understand that setbacks are part of the process, but a clear vision, adaptability, and relentless pursuit of improvement will open doors. Never underestimate the power of curiosity and building meaningful connections, both can shape opportunities in ways you cannot foresee.

Dr Murtaza Najabat Ali

CEO of Revive Medical Technologies, Study UK Alumni Award winner

Each winner demonstrates how a Sheffield education can be a launchpad for global impact, from pioneering new technologies to improving access to education and healthcare.

What I learned at Sheffield works across the board in science. I can attest to that. I was encouraged to ask questions, stay curious, and above all, to cooperate instead of compete...more universities around the world should follow Sheffield’s lead.

Juan Ocampo

Research engineer at Institut Pasteur, Study UK Alumni Award winner

The Study UK Alumni Awards shine a spotlight on leaders who are not only excelling in their fields, but actively shaping the future of their industries and communities.

Congratulations once again to all the finalists and winners.
