Profile

I joined the Division of Population Health in March 2016 and have worked as a Clerical Officer in Health Economics and Decision Science, Division Receptionist and as a Trials Support Officer in the Clinicals Trials Research Unit (CTRU).

I joined the newly-formed NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) in December 2023 as an Administrative Coordinator. I provide administrative support to the RSS Hub, delivered by the University of York and Partners.

My career background is in the catering industry. I worked for nine years in London, first as a chef, and then providing administration support for a food manufacturer.

Current projects

I am a Trials Support Officer for the following trials:

  • The ORION Trial: RadiO fRequency ablatION for haemorrhoids (ORION). A Pragmatic multicentre patient-/assessor-blind parallel-group individual participant randomised (1:1 allocation) randomised controlled trial
  • StarMS Trial: Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation versus Alemtuzumab, Ocrelizumab, Ofatumumab or Cladribine in Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • The APT Project: Aphasia Partnership Training – helping families communicate better
