Smart-Health for researchers

Smart-Health is the UK’s first database to link smartphone and wearable data with NHS health data and lifestyle questionnaire data.

Areas of research

The Smart-Health database will enable bona fide researchers to conduct a wide range of research across almost all diseases such as:

  • Prediction and prevention: How do patterns of smartphone and wearable data differ in people who later develop specific diseases or conditions, compared with those who remain healthy?
  • Identify potential diagnostic and treatment approaches: How does smartphone and wearable data differ between healthy people and people with different diseases?
  • Identify ways to monitor and prevent deterioration: How does smartphone and wearable data change over time in different diseases or conditions and with ageing?

We're not quite ready for researchers to utilise Smart-Health yet. Join the South Yorkshire Digital Health Hub mailing list to stay updated with the Smart-Health project.
