Our campus
Packed into one compact city centre site, campus is the heart of your university life. You’ll find modern learning facilities, a wide range of study spaces, and lots of places to meet up with friends, hang out and unwind.
Where are we?
Hugging the western edge of Sheffield city centre, University campus is just across the road from the bars, restaurants and independent shops of West Street and Division Street.
It takes 25 minutes to walk from the Students’ Union, in the middle of campus, to Sheffield train station, on the opposite side of the city centre.

Libraries and study spaces
There are four main library spaces on campus, all with a mixture of study spaces:
- Walk-in or bookable
- General, quiet or silent study
- Individual spaces and group rooms
- Free desks and University computers
The Information Commons has a sensory study room and a garden room - a calming space for study breaks. The Diamond hosts three computer labs with advanced software for science and engineering students.
Eating, drinking, socialising
The Student’ Union (SU) is a favourite place to meet up between and after lectures, with lots of comfy seating, the cosy Coffee Revolution, and lots of affordable food outlets. There are over 20 cafes and restaurants across campus in total.
In the evening, Bar One serves cheap eats and drinks. The SU’s own venue space, the Foundry, hosts live music, comedy, and club nights.
When the sun is shining, grab a book or a picnic and head to Weston Park, a large public park just behind Firth Court and Western Bank Library.

There are prayer rooms across campus, so you’re never far away from one:

- Information Commons (male and female spaces)
