Liam Barr, Employability Adviser
- Liaison with programme leads and module leads to ensure work related learning and reflective practice is threaded throughout programmes
- Employability lead for Company Dissertation Projects and SUMS internships
- Oversight of the placement function for the school
- Coaches students and staff to develop their understanding of skills development and articulation
Marian Derbyshire, Careers and Employability Consultant
- Supports MBA students to explore career options and get started with career development
- Uses coaching skills to give impartial information, advice and guidance
- Offers individual guidance appointments and delivers interactive workshops
- Supports ongoing curriculum development with academics to embed employability throughout our courses
Liz Taylor, Employability Skills Adviser
- Supports module and programme development through advisory liaison with programme teams across the UG portfolio
- Runs skill development workshops
- Encourages students to get involved in societies, such as Enactus or the Investment Society
- Supports students involved in national business competitions
Stefan Rankine, Placements Officer
- Supports students interested in year-long placements or short-time internships
- Provides tailored advice for those seeking a year-long placement
- Keeps in touch with students currently on their placement to ensure they're getting everything they want from the experience
Jake Collins, Employability Assistant
- Answers employability and placement related enquiries in the Employability Hub and via email
- Manages communications, newsletters and event promotions
- Supports with strategic ongoing projects around work related learning and skills development
- Ensures compliance and processes reporting through administrative support
