Guidance on completing the supporting statement
The online application will ask you to complete a statement, which forms part of our evaluation.
You should consider how your previous education and work experience relates to the programme, and how it fits into your long-term career plans.
We would like you to address the following questions (200 words for each question):
- What has influenced/motivated your decision to choose to study an MBA?
- What are your professional strengths and areas for development?
- How will the Sheffield MBA support you in your ongoing development?
- How do you think you stand out based on your professional experience and any other notable achievements?
To allow the MBA admissions team to accurately assess your statement, please ensure you include the question and then your answer.
Key dates
The Sheffield MBA receives many more applications than we have places available and it is highly competitive. If you are interested in applying for a place in September 2025, we would encourage you to do as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
After you apply
All applications received will be reviewed by our MBA admissions team.
If your application is successful at the initial review, you will be invited to attend an interview. If you are unable to attend the interview in person we will arrange with you for this to be online.
Attending an interview is a requirement of the MBA admissions process. Due to a high level of demand and limited availability, applicants are expected to make every effort to attend their interview.
