Shengfeng joined Sheffield University Management School as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance.
Shengfeng’s main research area is corporate finance. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of York, where he studied firms’ financial behaviours. Afterward, he served as a research fellow at Henley Business School (University of Reading), where he investigated the impact of banking market structure on corporate borrowers. Shengfeng’s research was published in world-leading finance journals. He also served as a reviewer for leading academic journals.
Shengfeng has delivered a variety of modules in the broader field of finance and data analysis, during his past few years of teaching in York, Reading, and Portsmouth. Shengfeng has gained the Advance HE Fellowship since 2021.
Shengfeng is delighted to discuss research ideas. He welcomes collaborations and Ph.D. applications, particularly from those interested in corporate finance and its interdisciplinary areas.
