Sheffield University Management School is proud to endorse the Sustainable International Business Poster Competition. The 2025 Global Sustainable International Business Poster Competition is co-organised by the UN Trade & Development, AIB UKI, and MIIB with financial support from the University of Leeds, and endorsed by leading organisations such as PRME (UN Global Compact), RRBM, Northern Power House (NPH), Sheffield University Management School, Innovation Center Denmark, Green Societies, British Academy of Management IB/IM SIG, and various worldwide chapters and SIGs of Academy of International Business.
The aim of the competition is to address the world’s critical sustainability challenges by pooling resources of engaged International Business scholarship in research and teaching to help organisations engaged with business activities to add net positive value to society. The competition will give students at undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research and MBA study levels the opportunity to address a sustainability related problem, applying their learning from the classroom to an organisation of their choice.
By taking part in the competition, students will empower businesses to become more sustainable by generating cutting-edge ideas of business model innovation. Students will increase their networks, working closely with businesses during the poster crafting process. Taking part will also connect students with like-minded students, educators and business stakeholders.
Students will also have the opportunity to receive recognition and be awarded in the following categories:
- Global ‘Decade of Action’ Sustainable Development Award
- Best Sustainable Strategy Award
- Best Sustainable Business Model Award
- Best Sustainability Analytics Award
- Best Sustainability Partnership Award
- Best Visualisation for Sustainability Award
- Best Sustainable Technology Award
- Best Sustainability Research Award (exclusive for PGR students)
The competition aligns strongly with our School’s mission to have a positive impact on working lives, organisations and societies worldwide, providing students with an opportunity to further develop their understandings of sustainability and the UN sustainable development goals.
