We are delighted to announce that Professor Robert McMurray will join the Management School, on 1 November, as Associate Dean for Education.
Professor Robert McMurray was formerly Academic Director at the Graduate School of Healthcare Management at the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Professor of Management and Organisation. Robert has also been a visiting professor at the University of York Management School, where he was previously Deputy Dean.
Professor McMurray’s research has informed health care organisation and workplace wellbeing for over 30 years. Publishing in leading journals, he has made contributions in respect of inter-organisational collaboration, culture, ethics, user perspectives on health, social return on investment, health services change, and professionalisation. He also co-edited The Management of Wicked Problems in Health and Social Care and is co-author of The Dark Side of Emotional Labour.
We are delighted that Professor McMurray is joining Sheffield University Management School. He has significant senior leadership experience that is interdisciplinary in nature that will help us continue to enhance the student experience and ensure that current and new programmes are relevant for students and employers and build upon the excellent research that colleagues are undertaking.
