Two years after graduating at Sheffield with a first class honours in his BA Accounting & Financial Management and Economics with Employment Experience Gianni Romano co-founded his business, Lyfcycle, with his sister Adriana.
Today, Gianni is on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2024 - Manufacturing & Industry List, for his contribution to promoting sustainable business models in the industry.
Gianni commented, “I'm deeply grateful to Forbes for recognising our work at Lyfcycle and humbled to be listed alongside so many inspirational young leaders. This accolade isn’t just a testament to my own personal journey, but a beacon for sustainable innovation in the industry. My ambition has always been to lead by example and show that profitability and sustainability can go hand in hand. Thank you to my team and everyone who supported us along the way. Let's continue to reimagine and rebuild our industries for the betterment of our planet and future generations.”
Through his company Lyfcycle, Gianni committed to transform their family clothing business, RBL Global, to be more sustainable and transparent. To actively support this commitment he developed a textile traceability software. He introduced customer-facing features like QR codes that allow buyers to trace the production history of the clothing they have bought.
The success of this led to Gianni’s second entrepreneurial venture, ettos, formed in 2023, which now brings supply chain traceability using real-time data to clothing brands around the world.
Let's continue to reimagine and rebuild our industries for the betterment of our planet and future generations.”
