On 2 December 2020, students of the University of Sheffield participated in a collaborative workshop with students on the “Luxembourgish Literatures in English” course at the University of Luxembourg. Students had worked in groups on selected texts by young Luxembourgish authors published in the collected volume “Young Voices”, and presented their interpretations of the texts in the online workshop. The discussion focused on themes such as discrimination, civil courage, the pressures of modern life and mental health which spanned across the texts, and students highlighted the importance of listening, empathy and solidarity. Students also shared interesting interpretations that were based on readings of these texts in a Covid-19 context.
