School of Law (including Law and Criminology) offer holder days

As part of your offer holder day at Sheffield, you'll be spending some quality time getting to know the School of Law and your chosen course.

Arriving at the department

You will have booked to visit us 10am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 4.30pm on your offer holder day. Please arrive in good time for the start of your booked session, as we'll need to scan the QR code from your booking to register you.

Your arrival location is: Dainton Building, Lecture Theatre 1. You can view this on our interactive campus map, and there will also be lots of open day staff and ambassadors around campus to assist you.

If you arrive late for your booked session, please report to the general information stand on the Students’ Union concourse, where event staff will be able to help.

When booking, you'll be able to reserve a place for yourself and one guest at the department activities. To ensure safe venue capacities, the department will be unable to accommodate any additional unbooked visitors.

However, you're welcome to bring additional guests to accompany you on the day, and we would encourage these guests to take part in our range of central exhibitions and tours while the department activities are running.

School of Law overview presentation - Dainton Building

Learn more about the School of Law and the opportunities available including careers support, student wellbeing and study abroad. Find out what studying at Sheffield is like directly from our panel of current students, and ask your questions.

We'll then take a walk over to Bartolomé House, the home of the School of Law, where we will continue the rest of the activities.

Taster session

Find out more about your chosen course, and join in with an interactive taster session delivered by one of our expert academic staff. You will attend the taster session for the course that you have an offer for. The taster sessions will be grouped as follows: 

Law

  • LLB Law
  • LLB Law and Criminology 

Law with a compulsory year abroad

  • LLB Law (European and International)
  • LLB Law (with Chinese Law)
  • LLB Law (with Spanish Law)

Criminology

  • BA Criminology
  • LLB Law and Criminology

LLB Law and Criminology offer holders:
On the day, you can choose whether you attend the taster session focused on either Law or Criminology based on your own interest. 

Parents and supporters networking
Whilst the taster sessions are taking place, parents and supporters will have a chance to chat with academic staff and current students to ask any questions they have.

Tour of the Law School, refreshments and networking

Have a chat with academic staff and current students whilst you help yourself to refreshments. Also, join our Student ambassadors for a tour of the School of Law.
