Programme: Insigneo Healthcare Data and AI workshop: “Using data from smartphones and wearables for health research”
As co-Directors of the Healthcare Data and AI theme of the Insigneo Institute we look forward to welcoming you to this workshop.
Our aims are to:
- identify and connect research groups using wearable data in health research
- co-design the IT infrastructure required to link wearable with NHS data to support multiple projects
- discuss and build on our research collaborations with Google Health/Fitbit
We are very pleased to be joined by Dr Ali Connell and Dr Reena Chopra from Google Health with whom Insigneo is building a range of collaborations in this area.

Dr Ali Connell
Ali is a Clinical Research Scientist at Google Health working on Health Impact initiatives in the UK and Europe. He completed his PhD at the UCL Institute of Human Health and Performance and is a practicing doctor at UCLH.
Dr Reena Chopra
Reena is a Clinical Research Scientist at Google Health working on medical artificial intelligence research. She is a practicing Optometrist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, and completed her PhD at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.
