Wei is a senior computational scientist in Scientific Computing Department, Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Daresbury Laboratory since 2016. We has joined Heat, Flow and Turbulence Research Group, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Sheffield since 2021 as a visiting scholar. She is the main developer and maintainer of the DNS research code CHAPSim for simulating fluids and heat transfer at various conditions. Wei is the project secretary of Collaborative Computational Project in Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics (CCP-NTH) (EP/T026685/1) since 2020 and has been performing the code development of the NTH community code CHAPSim2.0, aiming at high accuracy (up to sixth order) simulation on pre-exascale HPC systems. Wei also carries out secretarial work on UK Fluids Network Special Interest Group (SIG) led by Professor Shusheng He.
