Dr Matteo Di Benedetti appointed to SEFI Board
Dr Matteo Di Benedetti, Senior University Teacher, has been appointed to the Board of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI) for the 2025–2028 term.
Dr Matteo Di Benedetti, Senior University Teacher in Multidisciplinary Engineering Education (MEE) and Co-Director of the Centre for Engineering Education (CEE), has been appointed to the Board of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI) for the 2025–2028 term.
SEFI is Europe’s largest network of engineering education professionals, dedicated to advancing innovation, collaboration and excellence across higher education institutions.
Matteo’s work at Sheffield focuses on multidisciplinary and practical engineering education, aligning closely with SEFI’s mission to enhance teaching practice and build stronger academic communities. As part of the Board, he will contribute to community-building initiatives and support the development of SEFI’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs), helping to extend the organisation’s impact across Europe.
Reflecting on the appointment, Matteo said: “It’s a real privilege to join the SEFI Board and represent The University of Sheffield’s commitment to engineering education at a European level. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the continent to share ideas and strengthen our collective community.”
