- Profile

I graduated in 1985 with a BSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University. During my degree, I worked as an electronic engineer for Shandon Southern Products Ltd (CNAA sandwich degree program).
After graduation I worked for what was then BAe Dynamics at their Hatfield site. Work was mostly in a VLSI design group and related to testability of VLSI designs and the newly emerging Hardware Description Languages (HDLs). Who remembers Daisy Logicians and DABL!
In 1988 I joined the EEE department as a Senior Experimental Officer managing a newly created VLSI teaching facility.
Currently, most of my activities relate to teaching both UG and PG modules. I continue with my interests in VLSI, HDLs and computer arithmetic via BEng and MSc projects.
