Profile

Maan is an Architect (BArch, 2011) that has previously worked in the Healthcare sector and in teaching Architecture in the School of Architecture and Planning, King AbdulAziz University, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

He holds a Master degree in Façade Design and Construction (M.Eng., 2014) from Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Science, Detmold, Germany, and is currently engaged in PhD research at the School of Architecture in the University of Sheffield. 

Research interests

Project title: 

The effect of ambient lighting on cyclist numbers

Project outline: 

This research aims to examine the effect that darkness has on cycling rates and whether road lighting can help offset any resulting deterrence.
