For the third consecutive year, we’re thrilled to partner with the award-winning Thornbridge Brewery to launch a special edition brew dedicated to supporting life-changing medical research at the University of Sheffield.
This year's "Big Walk 2026" beer is a refreshing Blonde Ale (3.4% ABV) featuring a light, inviting aroma with floral and citrus notes. Best of all, 10p from every pint sold goes directly toward our 2026 fundraising goal: Saving Young Lungs.

Saving Young Lungs
This year, the Big Walk is dedicated to tackling an "invisible crisis": lung disease in children. For many young patients, including premature babies and those with asthma or cystic fibrosis, standard CT scans can be unsafe due to radiation. This often leaves doctors and parents in the dark, relying on a "wait and see" approach.
By supporting this year’s fundraising efforts, every pint of Big Walk Beer will help Sheffield researchers provide:
- More doctors with access to safe lung-scanning technology across the UK and beyond
- Radiation-free MRI techniques that allow clinicians to see inside children's lungs in real-time
- Earlier diagnosis and safer, more accurate monitoring for thousands of children.
The Big Walk 2026 will take place on Friday, 3 July, with participants tackling 20 or 30-mile routes through the Peak District.
