Abdu Rahim Kamil is a PhD researcher in Nursing at the University of Sheffield. His research focuses on understanding the needs and support mechanisms for family caregivers of patients with lung cancer in Indonesia, using a mixed-methods approach.

His work explores the psychological, emotional, and practical challenges faced by caregivers, as well as the role of healthcare systems and professionals in addressing these needs. He has a particular interest in culturally informed care, health system barriers, and improving supportive care in low- and middle-income countries.

Abdu has a background in nursing and academic teaching, with experience as a lecturer in Indonesia. His research aims to inform policy and practice to better support caregivers within complex healthcare contexts.
