There are loads of places to eat on campus, whether you want to grab a quick sandwich on the move or a chance to sit down and reflect over lunch. You can take food away from any of our venues. We have Halal, vegetarian and vegan options available across all catering outlets on our campus.
Please note that all campus outlets are now cashless. Please note, our outlets and opening times may vary slightly between events. The outlets and opening times below are up to date for our 21 February 2026 event.
In our Students’ Union
Coffee Revolution (8.30am to 4pm), Level 3
Great coffee, and all fairtrade, so you’ll be contributing to a better deal for third world producers. There are lots of freshly made lunch options and plenty of cakes and pastries to choose from.
Grill & Go (11am to 2.30pm), Level 3
Serving up a great selection of burritos, wraps and salad bowls. Choose your salad, filling and sauces and have the lunch that you want. Halal, vegan & vegetarian options available.
Our Shop (8.30am to 4pm), Level 3
If you just want to grab and go, you will find a good selection of choices including sandwich meal deals, salads, noodle pots, confectionery, hot & cold drinks and much more.
Baked (10am to 2pm), Level 3
We're passionate about our mouthwatering sausage & vegan sausage rolls, tasty pasties, savoury bakes, and pizza slices, all Baked to perfection. Baked offers a delicious range of freshly baked goods, alongside hot and cold drinks and fantastic meal deals to satisfy any appetite.
Bar One (12 noon to 11pm, food served until 9pm), Level 1
Our very own student bar serving a great range of drinks as well as coffee and tea. A great range of tasty food is available to order at the bar - choose from a wide range of burgers, pizzas, wraps, loaded fries, sides and desserts.
In our academic department buildings
John’s Van at the Arts Tower cafe (9am - 3pm)
An independently run cafe operating in the basement of the iconic arts tower building. Selling fine Italian coffee, and specialising in locally produced artisan bread, filled with only the finest of ingredients. John’s Van has been a staple of Sheffield university students for over 40 years, and took up residency in the arts tower in January 2026.
Information Commons cafe (9am to 4pm)
This busy cafe provides a great range of hot and cold snacks to feed the body and mind whilst you’re hard at work. Grab a meal deal - choice of sandwich or panini, snack and a barista coffee.
Diamond Kitchen (9am to 4pm)
Open for breakfast in the morning and offering Grill & Go burritos, wraps and salad bowls for lunch. The Diamond Kitchen also serves coffee and a selection of cakes and pastries.
Jessop cafe (9am - 3pm)
A centrally located coffee shop with a great atmosphere. Offering a wide variety of hot and cold food made on site.
Heartspace cafe (9am-3pm)
Great coffee and a range of cakes, cookies and snacks on offer, alongside our range of delicious salads and freshly made hot dishes.
Wave Kitchen (9am to 3.30pm)
From pancakes and pastries at breakfast to hot sandwiches, burgers and fresh salads at lunch, there’s something for everyone. Try our famous muffuletta sandwich - fresh sourdough bread filled with layer after layer of cured meats, pesto, mozzarella and roast veg.

The University Arms pub (11am-11pm)
Just around the corner from the Information Commons library, this one of a kind University-owned pub serves real ales and locally sourced pub food with one of the best beer gardens in the city.
Forge Bake House - Jessop West Plaza (9am - 2:30pm) *
Forgebakehouse is an artisan bakery. We pride ourselves on quality produce and baked items. Our team of bakers and pastry chefs work tirelessly in their efforts to produce the most seasonal and exceptional pastries and breads. We consider ourselves a local Sheffield brand and love the city we are in and produce our goods for.
At Endcliffe student accommodation
Edge Bar (10am to 4pm)
One of the best social hubs on campus with an extensive food and drink range. We always have something going on, including weekly quiz nights, live sport and Residence Life activities.
Village Store (9am to 11pm)
The Village Store has all the essentials you need, such as fresh fruit and vegetables, groceries, frozen food, and toiletries. Stocking all your favourite brands and locally sourced produce, including Our Cow Molly milk and ice cream.
On the Students’ Union concourse
Visit one of our external food vendors offering a variety of cuisines.
- The Greedy Greek (10am to 4pm)* is a popular, family run business which opened in Sheffield in 2003. Selling authentic, fresh, home made Greek food.
- Taco Trailer (10am to 4pm)* The Taco Trailer offer a variety of authentic Mexican tacos inspired by their travels, and use local Sheffield ingredients to bring the food to life. The best seller is the 10 hour slow cooked beef birria tacos, but they offer a variety of flavours including vegetarian and gluten free options. All of the fillings, sauces and salsas are homemade. Our tortillas are made fresh every week. They pride themselves in using the best quality ingredients and even import some speciality chillis to keep the recipes as authentic as possible. Fries & loaded fries are also available.
