- Profile
-
I am an experienced researcher, data architect and health services analyst with a focus on designing and delivering projects reliant on large real-world health, and health-related, data collections. I have been particularly active in evaluating changes in the provision and performance of urgent and emergency care services.
I previously worked as the lead analyst on a multi-million-pound specialist cancer services improvement programme - identifying, delivering and presenting intelligence derived from routinely recorded patient data and enhancing this through linkage with a wide variety of other data sources. Prior to this, I supported work on the appraisal of alcohol policies through decision modelling, with a particular focus on specialist alcohol treatment services.

My main research interests are
- record linkage methods
- understanding education and health, especially the economic cost of ill-health
- urgent and emergency care
