Profile

I joined the CTRU as a research assistant in June 2024 and I am currently working on two trials: EXPERTS-ALS (The EXPErimental medicine Route To Success in ALS), and OptiCALS (Evaluating a nutritional management intervention for people with ALS).

I have previously held roles in medical writing and a research position at a pharmaceutical consultancy, where I worked on the development of clinical outcome assessments to support trials. I also have clinical experience delivering psychological support and assessments on neurosurgical inpatient wards in Cardiff.

I hold a masters degree in Translational Neuroscience from the University of Sheffield, where I undertook a lab-based project investigating neuroinflammation and the expression of IL-1 in a mouse model of atherosclerosis.
