I am a Consultant Cardiac Radiologist and Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield. I joined the University of Sheffield in 2014 as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Radiology. After gaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2018, I completed five years of specialist training in cardiac radiology followed by an Advanced Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship at the Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge in 2023,.

I completed a PhD in AI applications in cardiac imaging including the development and evaluation of automated anatomical segmentation, diagnosis and prognostic assessment of cardiopulmonary diseases. I published over 90 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Radiology, JACC-Imaging, European Heart Journal, and European Respiratory Journal. My work has shaped international guidelines (ESC/ERS) and earned me prestigious awards, including the NHS Parliamentary Award 2023, Medipex NHS Innovation Award 2022, and RSNA Cardiac Research Prize 2021.

I am an editor at Radiology:Cardiothoracic Imaging and Cochrane Heart and member of the executive committee of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging and the Royal College of Radiologist AI working group.
