I studied biochemistry at Sheffield Hallam University where I was awarded the Biochemical Society Undergraduate Recognition Award for the best overall performance on the BSc biochemistry course, and the Royal Society of Biology Top Student Prize, awarded for the highest final year mark on the BSc biochemistry, human biology or biology courses.
I joined the ex vivo group at the University of Sheffield in 2020 as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Spencer Collis and Dr Greg Wells. My PhD investigated ex vivo drug screening using human glioblastoma tissue to personalise cancer therapy and replace murine avatars.
I have since continued my research within the ex vivo group as a postdoctoral research associate.
