I graduated from University of Bristol in 2004, and gained MRCGP in 2009. I started working as an academic GP within AUPMC at Sheffield in July 2019. Prior to this I worked as a clinical lecturer at Keele Medical School, where I started my academic career as a clinical teaching fellow in 2013. I gained my Masters in Medical Education from Keele University in 2018, titled " Authentic reflection: Understanding the mechanisms which promote authentic reflection in differing learning contexts." This used a realist approach to describe the mechanisms which promote reflection by first year undergraduate medical students observed in small group learning settings, based on analysis of qualitative data gathered at stimulated recall interview. My current roles and responsibilities in the medical school include communication skills lead, PATS tutor, representative member of Race Equality Working Group. Clinically, I am working as an associate GP at the University Health Service.
