Profile

Having joined the University of Sheffield in 2006 as a research technician, I gradually transitioned to more site and line management-focused roles. I have been managing Departmental technical resources and technical teams of increasing sizes since 2013. I was appointed as School Technical Manager in 2025. In this role, I have overall responsibility for the School’s laboratory and technical support services, including staff and resource management and workplace Health & Safety.

I am passionate about technical and professional development, which is illustrated by my leading role in TechNet, committee membership of FPSTDG and close ties with the NTDC.
