Accredited by the AssociationForNutrition (AFN), this newly-enhanced programme combines nutrition science, hands-on experience, and professional skills training that will set you apart in a competitive field.
Our revamped modules cover everything you need to build well-rounded expertise in nutrition: clinical and public health nutrition, nutritional physiology, biochemistry, advances in nutrition, and food sustainability. You’ll gain deep insights into both the science and social impact of nutrition, preparing you for diverse and meaningful career paths. This programme goes beyond the classroom, offering real-world learning through lab-based practicals, community engagement projects, and partnerships with local organisations. These experiences let you apply your knowledge to public health initiatives, nutrition policy, and research, giving you the tools to make a difference.
A unique feature of the programme is the year-long module in professionalism and practice, where you’ll gain essential skills in teamwork, communication, ethics, and leadership. Designed to prepare you for the workforce or further study, this training and our AfN accreditation will help you apply directly to become a Registered Associate Nutritionist (UKVRN).
Viren Ranawana, Programme Director said: “Through this redevelopment, we’ve created a high-quality course that addresses the modern needs of nutrition students and the field. The course adopts a global approach to nutrition relevant to both home and overseas students, and covers contemporary topics such as clinical and public health nutrition, advances in nutrition, and sustainability. We provide students with hands-on skills through labs and public engagement activities, along with training in research, nutrition practice and professionalism.”
