- Profile
-
Prior to joining the School of Medicine and Population Health, I completed a BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology, an MRes in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology at the University of Sheffield. I have previously worked in project management roles at contract research organisations where I was responsible for studies validating Immunoassay, Flow Cytometry and Cell Based Assay sample analysis methods. Typically, these were to support studies conducted in compliance with Good Laboratory, Manufacturing and Clinical Practice regulations.
I am currently the trial manager for the MEErKAT (MEsenteric Excision and Kono-S Anastomosis Trial) study. This is a multicentre trial investigating different surgical techniques for ileocecal resection in people with Crohn's disease.
I have previously worked on studies in a variety of areas including fertility, persistent physical symptoms and patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
