Dr Nan (Elva) Peng

I am a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow leading the project Forgetting in Cognitive Ageing: Trajectories, Mechanisms, and Plasticity and a member of the Cognitive Ability & Plasticity Lab, led by Professor Claudia von Bastian. My research explores two sides of the same coin: how memories are formed and how they fade, and what these processes reveal about cognitive mechanisms in human memory across the lifespan.

Previously, I was a Research Associate on the ESRC-funded project Strategy Training to Support Healthy Cognitive Ageing: Behavioural, Neuroimaging, and Real-World Investigations, led by Professors Louise Brown Nicholls and Claudia von Bastian in collaboration with researchers at the University of Strathclyde and the University of Leeds.
