Andrew is a Lecturer in Politics, having joined the Department of Politics and International Relations in 2024. Prior to this he held positions at the University of Oxford and the University of Manchester, where he completed his Ph.D. Andrew's research to date has examined political behaviour in and around elections, with a particular focus on how inequalities shape how citizens engagement with democracy.

Andrew was awarded his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Manchester in 2021.
- Research interests

Andrew's research explores political behaviour, and how it is influenced by social identites. His published work has studied how religious and ethnic minorities participate in politics, where he has a particular specialism in the politics of British Jews. His current projects include researching the link between descriptive and substantive representation in policy networks, and the impact of class identity on political attitudes.
