Summary

Research themes are exploring disruptive innovation for the future of water systems, including novel point-of-need treatment options at different scales, water/energy synergies incorporating renewable energy at neighbourhood scale, autonomous robotic pipe inspection systems, dual-purpose rainwater harvesting and surface water management, real-time water quality monitoring for drinking water treatability in catchments, customer mobilisation to deliver water benefits, collaboration for innovation, and futures thinking approaches.

This research is integrated within a collaborative open innovation framework, the TWENTY65 Water Innovation Hub, to spark creative solutions and accelerate uptake of innovation across the entire water sector.
