Profile

I completed a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Management from the University of Sheffield in 2024. Prior to my master's degree, I worked as a civil engineer in the infrastructure development industry of South Asia (Nepal and India). As a research assistant, I aim to complement my professional and educational experiences to explore novel solutions that promote circularity and decarbonization in the built environment.

Research interests

My research involves developing a high-resolution building stock model of the UK using layer-disaggregated material intensities and historic material composition data of structural elements complemented with neighbourhood-level statistical and GIS data. The stock model will be used for the BuildZero research programme to explore the extent to which the UK’s future building needs may be met with zero material extraction, zero carbon, and zero waste.
