Dr Luhar is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, co-inventor, material scientist and author in STEM. She completed her PhD in Civil & Structural Engineering at MNIT, India. She possesses decade-long experience of advance postdoctoral projects in Taiwan, Cyprus (EU) and the USA, which helped
establish herself as an expert in her field. Formerly, she was affiliated with the Center of Excellence in Geopolymer & Green Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perils, Malaysia as an external post doc. Dr Luhar has been awarded two honorary postdoctoral degrees of DLitt. from two international universities. She has written 7 patent registrations, over 70 research articles, 7 books, and 7 book chapters. Her biography is listed on “Marquis who’s who”, USA. She has received 25 national and international awards.Dr Luhar's research aim to invent novel, innovative, durable, user and eco-friendly cleaner productions of building materials for eco-constructions. This will improve structural performance, in addition to creating a circular economy through the incorporation of wastes, piloting to lower production costs and systematic waste management.
In 2023, Dr Luhar won the Top 50 Women in Engineering Award.
