GPU-parallelisation of (multi)wavelet-based grid resolution adaptation for fast finite volume and discontinuous Galerkin shallow water modelling
Supervisors: Dr Georges Kesserwani
The research is focussed on implementing wavelet-based grid resolution adaptation on the graphical processing unit (GPU), a method for reducing the computational effort imposed by grid-based PDE simulations, to accelerate finite volume and discontinuous Galerkin modelling of the shallow water equations in order to develop very fast flood and tsunami models.
