Chris Mowat

I joined the department in this role in July 2021, having previously taught ancient history both here and at other universities. 

I am responsible for student support and wellbeing in the History department, and am here to help with any academic or pastoral concerns.

My pronouns are they/them.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact for students needing support or assistance;
• Provide pastoral support for undergraduate and postgraduate students;
• Coordinate with students Extenuating Circumstances and Learning Support Plans;
• Contribute to support decisions, and communicate with students about these;
• Organise and promote Wellbeing-related activities.
