Dr. Jing-Yi Jeng
Ginny presented a poster on high frequency vulnerability in age-related hearing loss and the role of Cadherin-23 (Cdh23), a gene involved in the formation of tip-links between the different rows of stereocilia.
Dr. Federico Ceriani
Fede presented not only one, but two posters! The first one was based on our recent paper that investigates the feasibility of using machine learning based approaches to detect the earliest signs of hearing loss. The second poster shows in vivo calcium imaging of spontaneous activity in the prehearing mouse cochlea (also published recently- link here!)
Yanyun Zhao
Yan presented a poster showing her in vivo investigation of spontaneous activity in pre-hearing mice, specifically in outer hair cells using the 2-photon microscope.
Andrea Aveta
Andrea's poster showed his ongoing work investigating the neural basis of hearing function (and dysfunction) in a zebrafish model using in vivo 2-photon microscopy.
