Fit notes only apply to employment.
If a medical condition is affecting your studies at the University of Sheffield, you will need to apply for Extenuating Circumstances instead.
Before requesting a fit note, please read the NHS fit note guidance. Fit notes don't apply if you cannot work for 7 days or less.
You can request a fit note online if needed.
- If you HAVE seen a UHS healthcare professional about the issue, you should state who you saw and when. We may be able to issue a fit note without you needing another appointment.
- If you HAVE NOT seen a UHS healthcare professional about the issue, please make this clear. We may need to arrange an appointment before we can issue a fit note.
