Dr Joseph Scarrott

Joe leads the process development team to optimise GTIMC manufacturing processes.  He also conducts  R&D activities to discover new and innovative ways to produce viral vectors, with the end goal of providing effective treatments for patients.

Joe has worked with AAV for over 12 years, both as a tool for rare disease research and as a target for bioprocess engineering and development. Joe is a named inventor on patents for a rare disease gene therapeutic and an improved AAV production process using small molecule effectors.
