What did you study as part of your summer school experience?

I studied 21st century healthcare for professionals at Utrecht University in The Netherlands. My course consisted of roughly 15 other students from all over the world.

Can you tell us more about your summer school experience?

I thoroughly enjoyed the course on 21st-century healthcare skills for professionals because it provided a unique opportunity to engage with international students from diverse backgrounds. This enriched the learning experience as we exchanged perspectives, shared cultural insights, and collaboratively tackled real-world healthcare challenges. The global nature of our discussions highlighted the universal importance of adaptability, communication, and teamwork in modern healthcare, and the interactive format fostered a strong sense of connection and collaboration. This dynamic environment not only enhanced my professional skills but also deepened my appreciation for the value of diverse viewpoints in solving complex healthcare issues.

What skills did you gain?

The course helped me develop cross-cultural communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills through collaboration with international students. I also improved adaptability, technological proficiency and leadership, all of which are essential for addressing modern healthcare challenges and providing patient-centered care.
