Research interests

My research primarily investigates the impact of Lesson Study (LS)—a teacher-driven professional development model originating in Japan—on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers' pedagogical content knowledge. Additionally, my study examines how LS influences students' learning outcomes and explores its broader effects on teachers' professional identity, sense of workplace belonging, and agency. Situated within the context of a Saudi university, my research aims to assess the potential of LS as an effective and sustainable model for continuous professional development.
