- Research interests
-
My current book project, Uncanny on Air: Horror Anthologies from Radio to TV in the Postwar Home, focuses on the intersections of gender, domestic space, and new media technologies in US radio and television horror from the 1940s through the 1960s to demonstrate how anxieties about technological, industrial, and cultural change became thematic fodder for home-based horror.
My broader research interests include media history, cultural studies and popular culture, genre studies, gender, comparative media, and American studies.
