Dr Beatriz Gonzalez-Fernandez has been awarded the TESOL Award for Excellence in Research—an international honour recognising outstanding contributions to the field of English language teaching and learning.

Dr Gonzalez-Fernandez’s work has been widely recognised for its contribution to advancing knowledge of how people learn and use additional languages, with a particular focus on the linguistic and cognitive processes that shape language acquisition.
